Laura Marie Benhart was born on March 14, 1984 to Arlene and Ronald Benhart. She was the youngest of three children with two older brothers Nathan and Tim.

Laura was never short on hobbies. She enjoyed golf, skiing, and scuba diving. She was also an avid gambler and even played in the World Poker Tour.
